We helped a mother claim ‘no win no fee’ compensation for her child following an accident at a nursery.

The mother had placed her child at a day nursery whilst she was at work. Whilst in the nursery, the child was placed on a changing unit to be changed, when the carer whilst not adequately supervising the child, allowed the child to fall from the changing unit.

Unfortunately, the child fractured her leg, near the ankle. This was quite distressing given she was learning to walk at the time.

The nursery, via their insurers, admitted the accident was their fault.

The nursery’s insurers offered a low amount of compensation, and Court proceedings had to be issued.  The mother then accepted £3,600 compensation for her child’s injuries – much higher than the nursery’s original offer.
