We acted for a lady who was eating mushy peas when she bit into a piece of wood which was 2.5cm long which came from the tin of mushy peas.

The wood cracked her upper left first molar tooth. This caused a lot of pain and her face was swollen.  She was unable to go out socially and enjoy her usual activities and household activities and sleep was difficult due to the pain.

The tooth was rendered unrepairable and had to be removed altogether. She required an implant.

We presented the claim to the insurers and after obtaining medical evidence we received an offer of £9,700 for the client’s injury.  This also included payment for treatment she had already undertaken and for treatment she required in the future.  She was delighted with the outcome of the case and guidance given to her.
