We acted for a child, aged 6 at the time of the accident. She was with her Mum at their local Asda store when she tripped over a raised anti-slip mat. She fell forwards and hit her face on a metal bar of a basket.
In the incident the child cut her lip. Her chin and lower lip were swollen and bruised and she suffered pain to her chin and mouth and lip. She became scared of shopping at Asda.
She fully recovered 2 months after the accident.
We presented the claim to Asda who denied liability but we successfully negotiated £1,400 for our client’s injuries.
