We are acting for a lady who attended a salon to have her hair dyed. The stylist applied bleach direct to her scalp resulting in severe burns. She had to attend Hospital for treatment for the severe burns. Subsequently her hair began to fall out leaving bald patches and her hair began to break. Our client had to wear a wig for several months. Liability was admitted by the salon.

We received an admission of liability on the part of the salon.

We arranged for her to be examined by a Consultant Trichologist for the purposes of a medico-legal report. The report reassured our client that her hair will grow back albeit it will take a considerable amount of time.

This has caused her extreme distress and as a consequence she has undergone counselling to which we were able to arrange.
