The Accident:
A lady contacted our team at Actons Injury Solicitors after she suffered severe injuries when she tripped over a metal cover which had fallen off a zebra crossing beacon.
She was crossing from one side of the road to the other by using the zebra crossing. Upon getting to the other side, she tripped over the metal cover which had fallen off the beacon at the end of the zebra crossing which resulted in her falling face-first to the ground and suffering injuries.
The Injuries:
The trip resulted in the Claimant having one of her front teeth knocked out, suffering cuts on the inside and outside of her upper lip, suffering bruising on her nose, cheek, hands and knees and grazes on her hands and right forearm.
How We Helped Claim Compensation:
The lady contacted us to discuss how she could go about claiming compensation for her injuries following the incident.
Our team of specialist personal injury lawyers agreed to help him claim compensation on a No Win No Fee basis.
Our specialist injury lawyers compiled compelling witness evidence which demonstrated that the beacon had been in disrepair for months and the defendant had failed to maintain it. After being presented with this, the defendants accepted liability and upon receiving medical evidence demonstrating the extent of our client’s injuries, agreed to a settlement figure.
We were successful with the claim and obtained a settlement of £5,250.
