The Accident
A gentleman contacted our team at Actons Injury Solicitors after he was attacked by a dog whilst delivering to a customer’s home.
He was visiting a customer’s house as a delivery driver to deliver a parcel to them. Whilst at the property, the Defendant’s dog escaped through the gate as it was open and when it saw the Claimant it jumped in the air and repeatedly bit his hand causing injury.
The dog bite injuries
The dog attacked the delivery driver who suffered injuries to his leg which left a minor scar and some anxiousness.
How we helped claim compensation
The gentleman contacted us to discuss how he could go about claiming compensation for his injuries following the dog bite attack.
Our team of specialist personal injury lawyers agreed to help him claim compensation on a No Win No Fee basis.
The dog owner’s solicitors disputed the claim by alleging that our client had struck the dog with his electronic signature device and thus provoked it to attack him and further argued that the dog never attacking anyone previously meant that there was no reason for its owner to take any precautions. However, our specialist dog bite injury lawyers compiled a significant amount of medical evidence and reports and continued to pursue a claim against the defendant.
Eventually the defendants would agree to settle the claim for £6,175.
