Our client had an accident while attending a concert at the Nottingham Trent FM Arena.
As she made her way down to her seat, the toe of her shoe became stuck in the protective strip on the edge of a step, causing her to lose her balance, trip and fall forwards.
She put out her left arm to break her fall and suffered a fractured left wrist.
We sent a detailed letter of claim to the Arena. As a result, they admitted liability for the accident.
We obtained specialist medical evidence from a consultant orthopaedic surgeon.
As well as compensation for her injuries, we also claimed for our client’s loss of earnings, out of pocket expenses and a claim for the time spent by her husband looking after her.
We acted for her on a no win no fee basis. We negotiated a settlement of her claim and obtained for our client over £21,000 in damages as well as payment of our costs.
Our client was very pleased with the outcome and said “Thank you for such an excellent service.”
