A call centre worker and mum of one (Mrs A) has vowed never to return to McDonalds, after she found a 3cm piece of plastic in her BBQ pulled pork wrap.
The plastic was thought to be from the cheese they use at the McDonalds fast food restaurant.
At first Mrs A thought the plastic was a piece of lettuce but it was so chewy she spat it out. Mrs A was so shocked at her discovery she kept the plastic to show the store workers.
She was surprised at the size of the plastic and dreads to think what would have happened if she had swallowed it. Mrs A was just thankful her daughter was asleep at the time otherwise she could have been the one to eat the wrap.
A spokesman for McDonalds said “food safety is our highest priority” but the reality is foreign bodies are found across a variety of foods in both shops and restaurants every day and can cause any number of injures.
